Okay. You may open your eyes again. The weight ticker at the top is now correct again. I have lost 12 1/2 lbs. I am drinking 3 liters of H2O a day and trying to cut down on my portions.
On to the latest news:
I have never been good at telling someone that everything is going to be okay; I am the one who needs to hear that everything is going to be okay. So when J called me today and told me that 2 1/2 hours of her work had been deleted accidentally by someone and we may not be able to go out tonight - Insert - I REALLY WANT TO GO OUT TONIGHT! - it was hard for me to say everything is going to be okay. But, really, honey, everything is going to be okay!
I did my good deed for the day. There was a guy in the elevator drinking orange juice. He was telling his buddy that he was trying to prevent a cold that he felt was coming on. I told him that I had Emergen-C in my suite if he wanted some, so he came to my office and took a few packets. He told me I was a lifesaver and that he couldn't believe someone he didn't know would go out of their way to help him. He said that I had changed his feelings towards law firms . LOL
The Sunday visit with my youngest went okay. I brought her to our apartment and cooked spaghetti for lunch served with a salad and berries for dessert. I was a bit worried at first. She went in the restroom and didn't come out for quite awhile. I assumed she was texting someone about how uncomfortable she was there, but when she came out, she was all smiles. Caught her looking at the shelf while I was cooking, the one that has mine and J's pictures and some memorabilia from Vegas on it. Caught her looking at my wedding band a couple of times. There was no discussion generated, but the afternoon went well. She seemed happy and relaxed. We walked around the Galleria for a couple of hours; then I took her home. Did schoolwork with her Monday and Tuesday nights, and she seemed fine towards me.
I am leaving for Florida next Friday. J will be a bachelor. Any IRL friends who read this might want to call and check on her. I would appreciate that because it will be difficult for me to talk much on the phone. The walls are thin in my grandma's place, and I don't want to be rude to her and be on the phone all the time, either. We will be a Disney for two days, which will make it difficult to talk. Hallelujah for texting, though!
Until next time, peace.
